One tap with a smartphone. No app needed. Your full profile appears instantly.

Tap

Hold your BLACKTAP card against the top of a smartphone. A notification appears on the screen within a second. The person you just met taps it, and your profile page opens in their browser. They do not install anything, they do not create an account, and they do not need to be a BLACKTAP customer.

Every card also carries a QR code option on the profile, for the moments where tapping is not practical.

Connect

Your profile page shows your name, job title, company, phone number, email address, website, LinkedIn and your other socials. One button says Save contact. Pressing it writes you straight into their phone's address book, with everything filled in correctly.

On a Pro card, the same page carries a lead form. The person you met leaves their details, and the lead arrives with you directly.

Impact

You sign in to your dashboard and change whatever you like: a new phone number, a new job title, a new company. The card in your pocket does not change. It keeps pointing to the same address, and the address now shows the new details.

On a Pro card, the dashboard also shows how often your card was tapped, when, and from which region, with a monthly report by email and a team dashboard for managers.

Compatibility

  • Every iPhone from the iPhone XS onwards, so every model from 2018 and later
  • Every NFC enabled Android phone
  • The receiver needs no app and no account
  • Older phones without NFC can use the QR code instead

Privacy and what the chip holds

The NTAG215 chip in your card holds one thing: a web address. No name, no phone number, no email, nothing personal. Your details live on the platform, where you control them and can change or remove them at any time.

The chip is locked, which means nobody can rewrite your card, not even by accident. If your details ever change, you edit the profile instead of replacing the card.

From order to first tap

  1. You order. Choose your plan and pack size, and add personalised engraving if you want your name, job title and logo on the metal.
  2. You send your details. Name, job title, company, phone, email, website or LinkedIn, and your logo file if you chose engraving.
  3. We send a digital proof within 24 hours. You see exactly what will be engraved before anything is produced.
  4. You approve. We engrave in house, on our own laser.
  5. We deliver. Standard delivery in 72 hours across Belgium, priority in 48 hours.
  6. You activate your profile and you are live.
