What we collect
- Order data: your name, company, billing and delivery address, email address, phone number, VAT number and order history.
- Profile data: the details you choose to publish on your BLACKTAP profile page, such as name, job title, company, phone, email, website and social links, and any logo or image you upload.
- Tap analytics: when a card is tapped, the approximate region derived from the IP address, the time, and the type of interaction. We do not build a profile of the individual who tapped.
- Lead data, Pro plans only: the details a visitor voluntarily enters in the lead form on a profile page. These are passed to the card owner, who becomes the controller of that data.
- Website data: data processed by Shopify to run this store, including cookies necessary for the shop and the checkout.
Why we process it, and on what basis
- To perform the contract with you: producing, engraving, delivering and invoicing your order, and running your profile page and dashboard.
- Our legitimate interest: keeping the platform secure, preventing abuse, and improving the service through aggregated analytics.
- Your consent: non essential cookies and any marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation: retaining invoices and accounting records for the period Belgian law requires.
What is not on your card
The NFC chip in a BLACKTAP card contains one web address and nothing else. No personal data is written to or stored on the chip.
Sharing
We share data only with processors who help us deliver the service: our e commerce platform, our payment providers, our carrier and our hosting provider. They act on our instructions under a data processing agreement. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Order and invoice data are kept for as long as Belgian accounting law requires. Profile data are kept for as long as your profile is active, and deleted on request. Tap analytics are kept in aggregated form.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing. Write to info@blacktap.be. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels.
